IAQ Consultants, part of Kalaco, is an independent environmental consultancy. We are leading consultancy for the assessment of indoor air quality, helping clients from all over the UK with indoor air quality assessments, professional support for local authorities and professional services to a range of industries.

This includes producing indoor air quality plans for developments in compliance with new building standards such as BREEAM, WELL, HQM and LEED, reviewing whether building materials used are low emission, setting out appropriate ventilation strategies, setting out kitchen extract systems, producing monitoring strategies and undertaking monitoring in compliance with industry standards.

Our team has years of experience investigating air quality within the workplace, supporting COSHH risk assessments and providing expert advice on pollution abatement and control measures. This has included bespoke monitoring surveys to investigate health issues raised by employees to identify and resolve concerns.

IAQ Consultants also provides a wide range of professional services supporting public and NGOs. This has included bespoke research into indoor air quality and behavioural science, developing risk assessment toolkits, undertaking monitoring surveys and producing policy and guidance documents. Our team developed the risk assessment approach and the control measures in the Institute of Air Quality Management’s (IAQM’s) guidance on indoor air quality.
